Here is my feedback about the current credit system on Base44.
I believe the platform could improve the user experience and even increase revenue by changing how credits work.
Right now, credits create frustration, especially when the AI makes mistakes or when users run out of credits in the middle of a task. This system limits creativity and interrupts the workflow.
I suggest a different model: instead of charging for AI messages, Base44 could earn revenue from app creation, publishing, templates, marketplace items, or premium tools. This would remove the need for message credits entirely.
Additionally, a small negative credit buffer (for example –3 or –5) would prevent users from getting stuck. This costs almost nothing but greatly improves the experience. It also avoids punishing users when the AI makes an error.
This approach would:
– reduce frustration
– encourage more creation
– increase platform activity
– generate more revenue through apps instead of messages
– make Base44 feel more modern and user‑friendly
Thank you for considering this. I believe this change would benefit both the users and the platform.
