I'm a developer using Base44, which is really enjoying building a complex application (38+ entities and i just started) using the AI builder + GitHub sync workflow.
I discovered that for editor-created apps, there is currently no way to fully manage and especially create entity schemas without using the AI chat, which consumes credits. The CLI entities push command is only available for CLI-created apps, and there's no dashboard UI to add schemas directly.
This creates a frustrating dependency: developers must always keep credits available just to perform basic backend operations like creating a new entity, even if they have the technical knowledge to do it manually.
The alternative (ejecting to a CLI-created app) solves the schema problem but removes access to the AI builder entirely, which is the core value of the platform.
What I'm asking for is:
A way to add and fully manage entity schemas directly from the dashboard UI without using AI credits or, at least, allow entities push CLI command to work with editor-created apps connected via GitHub. This would give developers more control over their backend without forcing a trade-off between AI builder access and technical flexibility.
And furthermore: this limitations could lead in losing active clients!
I hope this feedback can help improving this platform, and I can see Iβm not the only one talking about this issue.
