Hi Base44 Team & Community,
I’d like to share some feedback and request clarification regarding the authentication system.
Currently, Base44 enforces the use of its built-in authentication method and login UI. While this works functionally, it creates limitations for projects that require full design and UX control.
In our case, we have fully customized and designed our entire application (both web and mobile). All internal screens follow our own branding, layout system, and design language.
However, the default Base44 login screen:
Does not match our UI/UX design
Cannot be fully redesigned to align with our brand
Creates inconsistency between login and the rest of the app
Feels less professional compared to our custom-designed interface
We would like the ability to:
Disable or bypass Base44’s default authentication UI
Implement our own custom email/password login system
Fully control the authentication flow and design
Use our own authentication logic if needed
Maintain consistent branding across the entire app
Is it technically possible to:
Replace the Base44 authentication system with a completely custom authentication system?
Or at least override the default UI while still using Base44’s backend services?
If not currently possible, is this something that could be considered as a future feature update?
I believe giving developers more control over authentication would significantly improve flexibility and allow more professional-grade applications to be built on Base44.
Looking forward to hearing from the team and other developers who may have faced a similar situation.
Thank you 🙏
