Digital Asset Links (assetlinks.json) support needed for Android app publishing

Hi Base44 team,

I'm publishing Android apps built on Base44 to Google Play and have run into a platform-level issue that I believe affects all Base44 apps submitted to Google Play.

The Problem

Google Play Console requires a assetlinks.json file to be served at:

https://{app-domain}/.well-known/assetlinks.json

This is needed to enable Digital Asset Links (deep link credential sharing between the web app and the Android package). Without it, Google Play shows the error:

"Website association could not be created. Republish the JSON file and try again."

Since Base44 controls the underlying file system and web server for all hosted apps, app builders have no way to place this file themselves, even when using a custom domain pointed at Base44.

I have multiple apps already live on Base44 that are affected.

What I'm Requesting

  1. Please serve the assetlinks.json file at /.well-known/assetlinks.json for each affected app domain - the exact JSON content is generated by Google Play Console and I can provide it for each app.

  2. Ideally, make this a self-service feature in the Base44 dashboard so builders can paste in their own assetlinks.json content when publishing to Google Play.

Note: This is distinct from the iOS App Store (apple-app-site-association file), which I have already successfully handled for other Base44 apps β€” so I know the platform is capable of serving these kinds of well-known files.

Happy to share the exact JSON content needed and any other details. Please add this to your pipeline urgently.

Thanks,
Stan
