Hi Base44 Team,
I'm reaching out as a developer based in Munich, Germany, who's excited about your platform but currently can't use it for my projects due to hosting limitations. Right now, Base44 only offers US-based servers, which means any personal data processed in my apps gets transferred outside the EU. This straight-up violates DSGVO/GDPR principles—especially Article 44 on third-country transfers—making it unusable for me and many EU businesses where we handle customer data daily.
My Request
Please add EU/EEA hosting options, like AWS Frankfurt or Azure West Europe, selectable at signup, project creation, or in account settings. I'd love a simple toggle to keep all data within the EU, with clear compliance tools like auto-generated DPAs or residency badges in the dashboard.
Why It Matters to Me
As someone building SaaS apps for industrial clients here in Germany, I need GDPR-compliant hosting to avoid legal risks from Schrems II and data sovereignty rules. EU merchants are already discussing workarounds like self-hosting on Reddit because of this. Enabling EU regions would let me fully leverage Base44 without headaches, unlocking your potential for the entire European market.
