Problem: Currently, when I send an invitation to a new user in Base44, the invitation link directs them to an authentication flow that doesn't distinguish between signup and login. This can be confusing for users who already have Base44 accounts, as they may attempt to create a duplicate account instead of logging in with their existing credentials.
Proposed Solution: Add an option in the app's authentication settings or invitation flow to control whether invitation links direct users to:
The login screen (for existing users)
The signup/registration screen (for new users)
Or allow the app owner to choose a default behavior
Alternatively, provide two separate invitation link types:
"Invite to login" - for users who already have accounts
"Invite to signup" - for brand new users
Use Case: I'm building an app where I need to invite team members and collaborators. Many of them already have Base44 accounts from other projects, and I want to ensure they use their existing accounts rather than accidentally creating duplicate ones. Having control over the invitation flow would streamline onboarding and reduce confusion.
Benefits:
Reduces duplicate account creation
Improves user onboarding experience
Gives app owners more control over the authentication flow
Helps maintain cleaner user databases
Prevents confusion for invited users
Current Workaround: Right now, I have to manually communicate with each invited user about whether they should log in or sign up, which adds friction to the invitation process.
