Honest feedback on the Base44 mobile wrapper:
I switched to the official wrapper when it launched and stopped building my own Android wrapper so I could move faster. I continued paying for Base44 while finishing my app assuming native in-app purchases would be supported.
Only after reaching the store submission stage did I discover the wrapper does not support Apple or Google Play in-app purchases.
That’s a pretty critical limitation for anyone building a SaaS or subscription app. Apple requires in-app purchases for digital features, and Stripe/PWA workarounds will get rejected.
I’ve now spent additional time and hundreds of dollars developing on the wrapper only to realize I can’t monetize the app in the stores.
I like Base44 and the speed it enables, but this limitation really needs to be clearly documented upfront. Store billing support is essential for mobile apps.
Hoping native StoreKit and Google Play Billing support becomes a priority.
