iOS problems

I am trying to test my app in Apple Connect. When using the Base44 wrapper, I can not get rid of the base44 button that says “Edit with Base44”, I can not get rid of the generic splash screen that the native wrapper puts in and I can not use my own bundle ID. I would think that I am not the first to get an app to Apple Connect and this would be a problem for any apple developer.

This is what I got from opening a ticket on the splash screen:

That makes total sense — you want your own custom splash screen to show instead of the default one from the native wrapper.

Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be configured from within the Base44 interface right now. The splash screen is baked into the native wrapper shell that Base44 generates when you create your app store files, so there's no setting to replace or remove it.

A couple of things worth knowing:

  • Your app logo/icon (set in Dashboard → Overview) does influence how the app appears, but it doesn't replace the wrapper's splash screen

  • This would require a platform-level change on Base44's end

I'd recommend submitting this as a feature request at feedback.base44.com so the team knows this is something builders want. The more votes a request gets, the higher it gets prioritized!
