I’ve just successfully launched my app on the Apple App Store using Base44 and overall the platform has been fantastic.
However, I’ve discovered a significant limitation for anyone building a commercial mobile app:
There is currently no native integration between Apple In-App Purchases and Base44 subscriptions.
At the moment, the suggested workaround is:
Send users to a web version of the app.
Subscribe via Stripe.
Return to the iOS app and log in.
While this works technically, it creates additional friction for users and is not the seamless experience that customers expect from a mobile app.
For founders, coaches, course creators, consultants and SaaS builders using Base44, native iOS subscription support would be a game-changing feature because it would:
✅ Increase conversion rates
✅ Reduce customer drop-off during payment
✅ Create a smoother App Store experience
✅ Allow apps to scale commercially on iOS
✅ Make Base44 more competitive with other app builders
I’m sharing this here in the hope that other creators who need iOS subscription payments will comment, like or upvote this request so the Base44 team can see the demand.
If you’re building a paid app on Base44, would native Apple subscription integration be valuable to you?
