If custom invite email templates are not currently available, we need the ability to invite users without triggering an automatic system email.
Right now, the system automatically sends an invite email that:
Uses generic, non-branded language
Refers to the platform as an “app,” which does not align with our positioning
Does not reflect our client experience or onboarding process
Because of this, we are forced to send a second, separate email to properly introduce the portal and guide the user—resulting in duplicate communication that can feel confusing and unprofessional.
Users receive two emails at the same time (one system-generated, one branded)
The messaging is inconsistent
It creates friction and reduces trust in the onboarding experience
We lose control of the first impression
An option to:
Create or invite a user without sending the default email
Generate an invite link that we can include in our own branded email
Fully control the onboarding communication and timing
This would allow us to:
Deliver a cohesive, branded onboarding experience
Eliminate duplicate or conflicting emails
Improve clarity and user trust
Increase engagement with the platform from the start
If we cannot customize the invite email, we need the ability to disable it entirely so we can manage onboarding communication ourselves.
This ensures a more professional, intentional, and brand-aligned experience for both clients and advisors.
