Regional Pricing Suggestion for Early-Stage African Startups

Hello Base44 Team,

Thank you again for building such a powerful platform. I’m currently developing real applications using Base44 and I already have paying users. The platform has made it possible for someone like me, without a strong technical background, to build and launch software professionally.

I would like to suggest a structured regional pricing option for African founders, particularly in Ghana.

In Ghana, the daily minimum wage is approximately $2 per day for about 8 hours of work, sometimes up to 10 hours. That means in three full working days, a person earns around $6 before any expenses. There are no additional benefits such as food, transportation, or allowances. Everything must be covered from that same income.

At this income level, paying the current annual Builder plan fee becomes extremely difficult for early-stage founders, even when they are serious about building real and sustainable products.

One possible solution would be to introduce a reduced first-year Builder plan for verified African users in the range of $50–$100 per year. After the first year, the subscription could return to the standard pricing.

This first-year support would allow founders to:

Connect a custom domain

Launch publicly and build credibility

Acquire real users

Start generating revenue

Prove the seriousness and viability of their product

By the end of that first year, founders who have gained traction would be in a stronger financial position to continue at full price.

This approach lowers the entry barrier while protecting the long-term value of your pricing structure. It could also expand adoption across emerging markets and build strong loyalty among growing founders.

Thank you for considering this suggestion.
