Smartsheet Integration as a Workflow

Hello Base44 Team,

I’d like to submit a roadmap feature request for a native Smartsheet integration within Base44 workflows.

I currently rely heavily on Smartsheet as my system of record for a wide range of operational data, including inventory tracking, call logs, task management, audits, and internal reporting. It’s a tool that many businesses already trust for structured, real-world operations, and it plays a central role in how I manage and validate data before it ever reaches an application layer.

Why a Smartsheet Workflow Integration Would Be Valuable

A native Smartsheet workflow would allow Base44 to bridge the gap between existing operational data and custom application logic, without forcing teams to abandon tools they already use successfully.

Specifically, this would enable users to:

• Treat Smartsheet sheets as live data sources for workflows (similar to databases or APIs)

• Trigger workflows based on row changes, status updates, or new entries

• Push workflow outputs back into Smartsheet (status updates, timestamps, notes, assignments)

• Use Smartsheet as a low-friction intake layer for non-technical users while Base44 handles the logic, automation, and app experience

Real-World Use Cases

In my own environment alone, this would immediately unlock:

• Inventory updates flowing from Smartsheet into apps and dashboards

• Call logs triggering follow-ups, notifications, or escalations

• Operational checklists syncing between Smartsheet and internal tools

• Audit trails that remain human-readable in Smartsheet but are enforced by Base44 logic

Why This Fits Base44’s Strengths

Base44 excels at turning structured data into real applications quickly. Smartsheet excels at being a flexible, user-friendly operational data layer. Bringing the two together would:

• Reduce friction for onboarding new users

• Increase Base44’s appeal to operations-heavy teams (healthcare, logistics, restaurants, service businesses)

• Position Base44 as a platform that works with existing workflows, not against them

Even a phased approach (read-only → triggers → bi-directional sync) would be extremely valuable.

I believe this integration would unlock a significant amount of practical, real-world usage and would be a strong differentiator for Base44 going forward.
