I would like to emphasize that native Apple In-App Purchase (IAP) support is not just a “nice-to-have” feature for us — it is a critical requirement in order to successfully publish apps on the App Store.
According to Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, any app that sells digital content, subscriptions, or access to features must use Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apps that attempt to use external payment methods (such as web-based payments, Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, etc.) for digital goods are consistently rejected during the review process.
Currently, this creates a major blocker for developers using Base44:
We cannot monetize apps that include premium features or subscriptions.
Even if the app works perfectly מבחינה טכנית, it will still be rejected by Apple.
Workarounds (like redirecting users outside the app) are not compliant with Apple’s policies and put the entire app at risk.
For many of us, this essentially prevents launching iOS apps entirely.
Because of this, native IAP support in Capacitor apps is not just a feature request — it is a fundamental requirement for any production-ready mobile app that targets iOS.
Adding this capability would:
Enable proper monetization
Ensure compliance with Apple policies
Significantly increase the viability of Base44 for mobile app development
Unlock a large segment of developers who currently cannot ship their apps
I strongly encourage prioritizing this feature, as it directly impacts the ability to publish and scale real products.
