Visible chat history control

Allow to control

• How much of the recent chat history is visible; and/or

• implement expand/collapse for prompts and responses that will load the full content of the prompt/response only when expanded for the first time. This will reset with the refresh of the tab or by a designated “reset” button.

• The ability to open the entire chat history (see Chat Navigation feature request) will also help with the fact that less of the chat history is available.

Why is this feature required -

I chat a lot with the AI Assistant to make sure it will implement properly whatever it is I’m asking it to develop. This includes detailed implementation plans, reviews of the implementation, discussion about bugs and their fixes and improvements. This takes a lot of back and forth between me and the AI in order to get to good results. In addition, my app is going to extensively call LLMs. Therefore, I’m currently working with the AI to define the prompts. This leads to long review inputs from my end and long responses from the AI. As a result, the editor mainly typing started to lag. The only solution was that someone from your team “cleared” my chat by 50+ prompts that did nothing other than “push” my conversation with the AI into the chat history. See ticket #694d1a8f.
