Horrible AI flow that is inefficient and designed to use credits.

Base44 has strong UI instincts, but falls apart when it comes to functional execution.

The biggest issue is how quickly it burns through credits due to poor instruction adherence. Even when given explicit directions, screenshots, and code references, the AI frequently ignores or partially implements requests — forcing repeated prompts just to correct what should have been done right the first time.

It also struggles with consistency. Fixing one issue often introduces new ones, which creates a loop of rework that drains credits fast. Context retention is weak, so guardrails and requirements have to be restated constantly — even when using defined “skills.”

In practice, it performs best when treated like a very literal, low-context assistant rather than an intelligent coding agent. You have to spell out every step and assumption, or it will fill in gaps incorrectly.

Bottom line: good for UI direction and quick mockups, but unreliable for structured, instruction-driven development workflows — especially where accuracy matters.
