refund of credits used to troubleshoot issue

To the Base44 Support Team,

I am requesting a review of my account and consideration for restoration of credits consumed during the deployment of my SiteForge application.

Over a period of approximately five days, I worked extensively with Base44's AI assistants to connect my custom domain (siteforge.space) to my SiteForge application. During that time, a significant amount of troubleshooting activity occurred, including repeated DNS changes, Namecheap configuration changes, Cloudflare configuration changes, SSL troubleshooting, redirect troubleshooting, and automated domain monitoring.

Throughout the troubleshooting process, I was repeatedly directed to use the application URL:

perky-site-forge-pro.base44.app

as the DNS target for my domain configuration.

Multiple troubleshooting sessions focused on:

  • URL redirects

  • DNS propagation delays

  • SSL certificate provisioning

  • Cloudflare configuration

  • CNAME formatting

  • Namecheap redirect behavior

In addition, an automated domain monitoring process was created and allowed to continue running for an extended period, generating a large number of automated checks and consuming credits while repeatedly reporting the same unresolved condition.

After approximately five days of troubleshooting, the actual issue was identified when the Base44 domain configuration screen was reviewed directly. That screen specified that the DNS target should instead be:

base44.onrender.com

Once the DNS records were updated to the Base44-provided target, the domain verification process immediately progressed and the persistent errors disappeared.

Based on the troubleshooting logs, a substantial amount of activity and credit consumption occurred while pursuing a configuration path that ultimately proved to be incorrect. The root cause was not DNS propagation, SSL timing, redirect delays, or Namecheap truncation issues. The root cause was the DNS target itself.

I understand that troubleshooting complex deployment issues can take time, and I appreciate the effort that was made to help. However, given the amount of troubleshooting, the repeated guidance toward the incorrect target, and the resulting credit consumption, I respectfully request that Base44 review my account activity and consider restoring the credits consumed during this troubleshooting process as a goodwill adjustment.

I have retained the troubleshooting logs and can provide additional documentation if needed.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Alan Lang
